Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the date of Pinhoti Fest? September 26-28th. Campers may arrive at 10 am on Friday to find your prime tent location, then head downtown to eat and shop local. (or you can hang out and we will put you to work!) Registrations starts at 3pm, music and Festivities begin at 5pm on Friday, at 8:00 am on Saturday, and at 8 am on Sunday

  • How do I sign up for the amazing prizes? Easy peasy- register here or by clicking the link below. This let’s us know you are joining us, and that you love free stuff too! https://www.pinhotiexperience.org/pinreg

  • How much does Pinhoti Fest Cost? This is a free event, no fee for camping, and no fee to attend.

  • Do I need a reservation to camp? Nope, camping will be on the North end of Noble park and is first come first served (don’t worry, there is plenty of space). You may set up your tent as early as 10 am on Friday, but we will not be registering hikers until 3pm. For the safety of the campers we ask that if you are car camping that you choose a parking spot that backs up to the grass, if you do park on the grass, we ask that you do not move your car throughout the weekend. If you plan to leave the festival, please park in a designated spot.

  • How can I help? You are awesome. There are 2 ways you can help, Volunteer at the festival and/or Donate to the cause. Pinhoti Fest is a grassroots festival and every donation counts in a big way.   • Will there be a festival t-shirt this year. We are so excited to say YES!!! Shirts are $25, but are Pre-order only and have to be purchased before September 1st. There will not be any for purchase at the festival.

  • How can I sign up for a vendor booth? Pinhoti Fest is not your normal arts and crafts festival. If you are a trail related shop, outdoor club or organization, you may be a great fit. All of our vendor booths are hiking, backpacking, trail and outdoor focused. So if you have a booth with that target in mind, please reach out to our event Director at pinhotifest@gmail.com and she can point you in the right direction.

  • Where can I go to get more information about Sylacauga? We are a proud partner of the Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce. Please click their name and visit their website to see all the fun things to do and see in Sylacauga.

  • Can I bring my kids? ABSOLUTELY! Pinhoti Fest is a family friendly event. Come camp out, or just visit for the day, You don’t even have to be a hiker, just come see what the Pinhoti Trail is all about and meet some of the most awesome people! (including Smokey Bear and Sasquatch and the Chick-fil-a Cow)

  • Do you have to be present to win door prizes? There are some very specific prizes that you must be present to win, for others, if your phone number is on your registration, we will text you to pick up your prize. You must be present to win the grand prize on Sunday!

  • Will campfire’s be allowed? You may have a fire in a self contained fire pit. You cannot build a fire ring, or burn directly on the ground. Please remember your LNT rules, pack it in, pack it out, Never leave a fire unattended. and extinguish it completely with water.

  • Can I take a shower? Nope, it’s just 3 days, we’ll all smell, nothing new. but if you have to, find Kimm or Nathan at the Festival and they may be able to give you options.

  • Can I bring my dog? You can bring your pet as long as they are well behaved, on a leash and you clean up after them. (LNT goes for pups too)

  • Where can I find the weekend agenda? Visit https://www.pinhotiexperience.org/event-guide, you’ll be able to see all the weekends activities including our sponsors, vendors, food trucks, entertainment, Guest speaker and more!

  • Where can I park? We will be putting a festival map online soon that will show all the logistical details.

  • Can I bring my camper? Noble park is a city park, not a campground. We highly encourage everyone to tent camp to enjoy the hiking community, but If you decide to bring your camper or camp in your car, you would have to park away from the festival in the ball park parking lot. There are no power or water hook-ups.

  • Is there a place to hang my hammock? There are a few trees, but there are limited space to hang your hammock, please bring a tent as a back up.
